Safeguarding

South Petherton Junior School has clear policies and procedures for Health & Safety, Behaviour, Anti-Bullying, Medicine and Confidential Reporting.

  • Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is the Head teacher, Mrs Catherine Walker
  • Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) is Mrs Anne-Marie Gordon

There is also support and guidance from the Somerset Safeguarding Children Board. The school has adopted their model Child Protection policy.

South Petherton Junior School is a Local Authority maintained Junior school. Admissions are managed by Somerset County Council Admissions team using the appropriate published admissions and over-subscription criteria.
